Amedeo's  is widely regarded as one of Northeast Houston's premeire dining locations.  We have had many accolades during our 25 years of existence.  Here are what some of the critics wrote:

Review.  Admirers applaud the impeccable service at this Kingwood gem set in an unlikely location; while the affordable Italian food is always excellent, flavorful and delightfully presented, the daily seafood specials can be extraordinary; there are also deals on wine, the desserts are housemade and live piano music entertains--no wonder it's so popular.

...dish after dish turns out to be impeccable....and, unusual for Italian food, it manages to be both light and filling.

The southern Italian marinara sauce is perfect, and so ar the Northern Italian cream sauces.  The veal is of high quality, as is the seafood.  As for some specific dishes: A first course of fried calamari was reminiscent of the best trattorias of Venice.  The squid was tender and tasty; the batter was light.  A bowl of fresh tomato sauce seemed like too much, bus so good you're not about to let the waiter get away with any of it.

Also noteworthy were the mushroom caps stuffed with fine Italian sausage and topped with mozzarella.  The accompanying marinara captivating.

If you're in the mood for pasta, Amedeo's presents an a lasagna that is really special, with an intriguing blend of cheeses, herbs, and beef.  The veal here is fork tender, wonderfully sauced and quite reasonably priced.

Tortellini alla Genovese, a dinner-time bargain, was outstanding, the dumpling stuffed with proscuitto and mushrooms and cooked in the proper al dente fashion.  Desserts are above average.....the bread pudding is reinvented regularly and is favorite not to be missed.

Amedeo's does a commendable job on most of the best-known Italian dishes.

This low-key supper club serves up jazzy ambience that's as classy as the traditional Italian and continental fare.

Quietly and confidently building a loyal clientele for over a dozen years in its hometown of Kingwood, this lovely Italian spot is the handiwork of Tony Raffa.  Try a veal dish, pan -seared salmon, shrimp sauteed with onions and roasted peppers or one of the seafood-laden pastas.  Inside-the-loop food snobs will be amazed and delighted by the ambitious menu that is, for the most part, perfectly realized.  The recently renovated dining room is lovely.  Oh, yes, the dining is value priced as well.

Magnificent!  There is no better way to explain dining at Amedeo's Italian Restaurant in Kingwood other than to say....Magnificent!  Amedeo's, located at 22704 Loop 494, has been serving the appetites of Kingwood residents since 1985. If longevity is not enough to convince you Amedeo's is one of the most wonderful dining experiences to be had, then try getting in to eat without reservations.

Amedeo's, owned and operated by Anthony "Tony" Raffa and his wife, Leslie, holds one main goal.  "I tell all of our staff that our goal is to have  above-average food and service.  Raffa and the staff live up to the goal.  The food is definitely "above-average."

In fact, it blows average away.  Raffa said that the chef has total creative freedom which makes the dining all the more pleasurable.  "The specials is where the chef shines.  "You have to check the daily specials.  Our Chilean seabass is one of the most popular and is only offered as a special.  People come in and request that dish all the time."

A combination of classic Italian dishes such as Spaghetti, Lasagna, and Fettucine Alfredo plus new combinations round of the diverse menu.  Southwestern Rigatoni comes with a choice of shrimp ro chicken in a roasted corn, jalapeno, and cilantro tomato cream sauce.  It is a Tex-Mex meets Italy combination and is very tasty.  For beef lovers, Amedeo's offers a filet of tenderloin as a special in addition to the  The special is a charbroiled filet of beef that is topped with pepperjack cheese in a cream sauce with sweet corn and fresh cilantro.

For the seafood lovers, there is plenty to make even the most hardened palate water.  The Snapper Antonio is a filet of gulf snapper topped with shrimp and crabmeat finished with a white wine butter sauce.  A delicate texture and delicious sauce makes this dish one of my favorites.  Also the daily specials of gulf flounder with lobster and shrimp finished with a citrus, butter sauce lead me to appreciate the talent of the chef who was working his magic in the kitchen.  The flounder even received a nod of approval from a non-seafood lover.

For dessert, Tony recommends the bread pudding.  Tony sure knows his stuff.  I have heard that presentation is everything and the dessert was almost too pretty to eat....almost.  The bread pudding was not too sweet, yet sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.  Served hot, it was truly amazing.

Tony has not only succeeded with the food but with the service.  He walks among the guests and greets everyone he meets.  Buon appetito!
